Abstract

In this paper, we propose a mathematical formalism of the scene transition net(STN), which is a new simulatin model for a discrete continuous hybrid system. Using this mathematical formalism, the escapability of the STN is defined to analyze the behavior of the STN. The escapability of the STN is the ability of a scene to transit to the succeeding one. If a STN is escapable, actors can flow through the STN. First, we define some mathematical concepts related to the escapability on the phase plane such as trajectory mapping and trajectory mapping domain. Then we formaliz the escapability of the scene. Furthermore, we expand the escapability of the scene to the escapability of the partial STN.
