Abstract
The purpose of the present note is to point out that the previous two-step potential model calculation for the form factors of the pion and kaon in the space-like regions, for small values ofq2 (q2 up to 2 (GeV)2),also fits very well the experimental data for the pion form factor at large values of momentum transfer squared (q2 up to 10 (GeV)2), without requiring any additional input to the model. It is anticipated that the model would explain the kaon form factor also equally well for large values ofq2, when it is measured experimentally, as it does very successfully for the pion.
