Abstract

Although studies on public health and lifestyle diseases have a long history, they are characterized by the selective nature of the consideration of the issue. Over the past decades, student youth has repeatedly been the focus of such studies. Student lifestyle is often accompanied by a violation of the regime of work and rest, quality sleep, as well as cooking and eating. Often, students' meals include unbalanced, high-calorie foods. In this regard, the importance of forming a need for a healthy lifestyle, an attentive attitude to health, and skills aimed at maintaining and preserving it among Russian students is apparent. This goal can be achieved through active outreach and awareness-raising work and the introduction of educational programs and youth projects focused on protection and promotion of Russian students’ health.
