Abstract

ABSTRACTIn this study, effect of flotation agitating based on ultrasonic field on low-rank coal flotation was investigated. The results showed that flotation agitating based on ultrasonic field reduced slime coating and collector droplets size; the flotation results showed the combustible recovery was significantly increased, whereas concentrate ash was highly reduced. Moreover, the flotation kinetics performance increased significantly with aid of flotation agitating based on ultrasonic field with increasing ultrasonic power. Compared with the flotation agitating in the absence of ultrasonic field, a better flotation selectivity was observed using flotation agitating based on ultrasonic field according to Fuerstenau upgrading curves.
