Abstract

This paper presents a floristic account of the Sakarpathar and Ambavane region of Poona District, based on exploration work carried out in this area during the years 1962-65 (3 years) as a research scholar working at the Western Circle of the Botanical Survey of India, Poona. In all about 850 taxa of plants were collected. The specimens have been depOsited in the Western Circle Herbarium of the Botanical Survey of India, Poona (BSI).
