Abstract
A novel one-dimensional zigzag lanthanopolyoxotungstoborate, H 2(NH 4) 10[Ce 2(BW 11O 39) 2(H 2O) 6] · 21H 2O, was synthesised under ambient conditions. It is the first example of a one-dimensional polymer where Keggin-type anions containing a central boron atom are bridged by Ce 3+ cations.
