Abstract

In this paper, we present a decoupled T – ψ scheme for solving eddy-current problems by means of finite element approximation based on ungauged electrical vector potential T. We give the convergence analysis and error estimates in finite time T 0 . And it is verified that provided the time-stepsize τ is sufficiently small, the proposed algorithm yields for finite time T 0 an error of O ( h 2 + τ 2 ) in the L 2 -norm for the electric field E = ρ ∇ × T , where h is the mesh size.
