Abstract

Summary 1. Fifty-two rheumatic children were studied with regard to the sedimentationrate. 2. Thirty-three of these had normal sedimentation rates when measuredby any of five different methods. The correlation between the methods in this groups was almost 100 per cent. 3. Nineteen of these had a rapid sedimentation rate by all methods used. The correlation here was 90 per cent. 4. The Cutler micro-fingertip method is presented as a substitutefor any of the other methods when repeated determinations are necessary becaused of its simplicity, practicability, and accuracy.
