Methods: In understanding this, this research analyzes Roland Barthes' structural semiotics by analyzing the semiosis of markers and signs to know the denotative and connotative meanings of the cover of Tempo magazine and dismantle the myths brought by Tempo through its Semiotics. Result: From the results of the study, it was shown that during the discourse, there was a roar of competition within the PDI-P in proposing prospective candidates.
