Abstract
The article deals with the admissibility of success fees for lawyers in Russian law. The reason for the article are recent changes in the Russian federal law on lawyers, which make this form of fee now possible. The author describes the basic problems of lawyer’s remuneration. She explains the development of the legal institution of success fees in Russia. In doing so, she discusses the decision of the Constitutional Court of 2007 as well as the practical aspects of the institute, which is actually popular with lawyers. The law and the explanations provided by the Federal Bar Association raise further questions. The matter of success fees in Russia therefore remains an exciting one.
