Abstract
In line with the program for scientific collaboration between the USSR Academy of Sciences and the American Council of Learned Societies, the Fifth Symposium of Soviet and American Economists took place June 11-13, 1979, in Mount Kisco (not far from New York City). Its theme was Structural Changes in the Soviet and U.S. Economies. The American delegation was headed by Professor L. Reynolds (Yale University), vice-president of the American Economics Association. Academician T. Khachaturov, chairman of the Association of Soviet Economic Scientific Institutions, headed the Soviet delegation to the symposium.
