Abstract

We have developed a new experimental device to support online experimentation of hardware experiments. After many years of computer education practice and the rapid development of computers, there are many problems with traditional online experiment methods, especially in hardware-related teaching. In addition, we have developed a corresponding software system to help students access laboratory equipment anytime, anywhere. In other words, they can use the online experiment software to perform hardware experiments on the real hardware platform where they can access the Internet, just as if they were doing hardware experiments locally. The remote hardware experiment system is a distributed system: There may be multiple devices in different locations, there are many devices in each location that support online experiments, and there is a main server to manage the devices in different locations. The entire system acts as an experimental cloud. In addition, using the center management can obtain experimental data, including the login time, the time of completing the experiment, which will help teachers analyze what is the student's difficulties, and help improve the experimental process. The system has continued to improve for seven years in experimental teaching and has achieved certain results. As a result, the online experiment content and online teaching methods of the hardware course have undergone fundamental changes.
