Abstract

Introduction: Patients awaiting cancer treatment were classified as “vulnerable” and advised to shield to protect themselves from exposure to coronavirus during the pandemic. Whilst these measures can reduce the risk of these patients contracting COVID-19, the prohibition of close social interaction and the restriction in movement has resulted in unintended consequences on physical function and quality of life. We sought to establish the feasibility and effects of a telehealth-delivered home-based prehabilitation programme during the pandemic.
