Abstract

AbstractThe interaction of the π electron system of furyl and thienyl substituents with the silicon (or germanium) atom is less significant in fragmentation under fast atom bombardment than under electron impact. Under fast atom bombardment the primary fragmentation of the title compounds is determined by steric influence of the heteroaromatic substituents.
