Abstract

With a burgeoning population and its soaring demands on a limited water supply, the semi-arid sections of the United States have had to give greater attention to the problems of water use. Over the last few years, heightened ecological awareness has helped to bring about a shift in public attitudes towards water reuse and reclamation, and away from the more and more outmoded “single use” concept.
