Abstract
Solid state ammonium ion selective electrodes based on two kinds of electro conductive materials, copper and silver, had been successfully synthesized. First, polyaniline had been deposited on the surface of copper and silver by potentiostatic method and cyclic voltammetry respectively, and then ammonium ion selective film was coated on the electrode. The morphology of two kinds of electrodes was analyzed by scanning electron microscope. The experimental results show that the two kinds of solid ammonium ion selective electrodes have high stability, fast response to different concentration of ammonium chloride solution. The ammonium ion selective electrode based on copper wire had good linear detection of ammonium ion concentration in 10−5 mol/L to 10−2 mol/L range, sensitivity was 20.68 per decade; the ammonium ion selective electrode based on silver wire had good linear detection of ammonium ion concentration in 10−4 mol/L to 10−1 mol/L range, sensitivity was 75.10 per decade. And the electrodes can be successfully used for the detection of ammonia nitrogen in real aquaculture water.
