Abstract
Recently my attention was drawn to some spectacles in the Parsonage Museum, Haworth, which had belonged to the Brontes. I took them to Mr. Read, of the optical department of Messrs. Reynolds & Branson (Leeds), who kindly examined them for me. The quotations are from Clement K. Shorter's “The Brontës: Life and Letters.”
