Abstract

Cardiac fibroblasts can modify the extracellular matrix using a range of signalling pathways that include the secretion of extracellular vesicles (EVs). How EV signalling differs under pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic conditions following an acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is not well characterised. In this study, we aimed to examine the differential composition of small non-coding RNA (sncRNA) in cardiac fibroblast EVs following pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic stimulation.
