Abstract
The general purposes of the study were (1) to identify and quantify specific, observable activities that occur during formally scheduled visits by curriculum consultants; (2) to determine which consultant behaviors were related to successful implementation of curriculum innovations; (3) to provide substantive data documenting the implementation and outcomes of a particular innovation; and (4) to alert change agents who utilize consultant service to some of the problems inherent in developing effective roles for curriculum consultants.
