Abstract

IT IS a rare individual in these times who denies the advantage of a college education. Opportunities for the self-made man are becoming increasingly rare. Today, many commercial firms decline to consider persons without a college degree for employment in any job leading ultimately to a position of leadership.Buster (1947) stated that “progress in improving the processing and marketing of egg and poultry products will be influenced tremendously by the quality and extent of instruction on these subjects in colleges and universities.” He reported that in 1946 all but 11 State colleges offered at least one course in egg and poultry marketing.Now, six years later, it again seems desirable to appraise the extent of instruction in the subject of egg and poultry marketing in our State colleges.
