Abstract

A resonator with a semitransparent boundary and/or small apertures is considered as a model of an artificial semiconductor structure, having a size greater than that of a molecule and less than that of an ordinary microstructure. The model is based on the operator extensions theory. The transmission coefficient and conductance are found. The resonance effect analogous to that in the corresponding experimental devices is also obtained.
