Abstract
Let T, U be two Artin algebras and MTU be a U-T-bimodule. In this paper, we study the extension dimension of the formal triangular matrix algebra Λ=(T0MU). It is proved that if MU, MT are projective and max{gl.dimT,dimmodU}⩾1, thenmax{dimmodT,dimmodU}⩽dimmodΛ⩽max{gl.dimT,dimmodU}.
