Abstract
In this work we have investigated the expression of different cell surface receptors, representing different cell functions and different mechanisms for receptor regulation in persistant liver nodules, regenerating and normal liver. Results are presented from work on the transferrin receptor, the asialo-glycoprotein receptor and the epidermal growth factor receptor. In addition, the expression of insulin-like growth factor I and II in fetal, regenerating, and nodular liver tissue as well as in hepatomas is presented.
