Abstract

Indigenous knowledge, especially local medicine knowledge, has a high potency to be extensively used in almost all the countries, which one of them is Indonesia. One of the potential local knowledge in Indonesia is indigenous (local) medicine knowledge. However, in recent years, indigenous knowledge, especially indigenous medicinal plants, decreased continuously because it is established and transmitted not in the codified form (tacit knowledge). In the previous research, conceptual model for indigenous medicine knowledge has been developed but this model has not been explored in detail. Therefore, this study aims to explore the explicit representation of indigenous medicine knowledge. The result of this research is a detail representation model in ontology representation using socio-technical approach for indigenous medicine knowledge and a framework to evaluate the ontology model.
