Abstract

Objective To explore and evaluate the cultivation of core competence among nursing students in the process of implementing problem - based learning (PBL).Methods All study objects were divided into six groups with a group leader responsible for allocating the workload and coordinating the organization.During teaching process,each group was further divided into four separate subgroups to carry out learning.All groups received both theory courses and PBL- based practice courses.Results All students expressed strongly interested in PBL learning process and the guiding role of teachers was very well demonstrated.Conclusions PBL teaching practice greatly contributes to the enhancement of the core competence among nursing students.
