The exploration and practice of Qianjiangyuan National Park System Pilot Area

Abstract

Qianjiangyuan National Park System Pilot Area is located in Kaihua County, Zhejiang Province, with a total area of 252 km2. It lies in the junction of Zhejiang Province, Anhui Province and Jiangxi Province. It is the only national park system pilot area in Yangtze River Delta. Since the pilot work was carried out, Qianjiangyuan National Park System Pilot Area has conscientiously implemented the decision-making and deployment of the central government. This paper overviews and analyzes the great efforts that Qianjiangyuan National Park System Pilot Area has made to promote various tasks of the national park system pilot. It has been concluded that Qianjiangyuan National Park System Pilot Area has made bold innovations in management system, resource protection, scientific research and monitoring, environmental education, and easement reform. We have found that the phased results achieved by Qianjiangyuan National Park System Pilot Area can provided referential experience for other national parks.
