Abstract

This paper discusses the problem of automatic generating GPSS-C program using expert system. This system acquires information through menu prompt and man-machine interaction. Then it makes inference and generates GPSS-C program according to knowledge-base. The knowledge-base is built on rule expression and appears as predicate form of PROLOG. It includes the knowledge of logic relation of discrete-event system, the control strategy of GPSS-C and other experience. This expert system is intelligent front end(IFE) of discrete-event simulation system (DESS). It is realized by IBM-PC/XT(AT) and Turbo-PROLOG software is used.
