Abstract

In order to study the effect of consoles with different transition surfaces on film cooling performance, four kinds of consoles with different transition surfaces were designed. Under the same boundary conditions, a series of experimental studies were carried out under two typical blowing ratios. The experimental results show that whether under M=0.5 or M=1.5, compared with the reference case, the console with anti-S-shaped transition surface has the best spatially-averaged adiabatic film cooling effectiveness (ηad,av ), and the ηad,av is improved by 7.6% and 6.6% respectively. Meanwhile, the discharge coefficient (Cd ) is decreased by 2.6% and 2.2% respectively.
