Abstract

An overview is given of some of the experimental results reported during the Weihai meeting on ultra-high energy interactions. The work discussed has been chosen to reflect the current interest in the astrophysical interpretation of air-showers as progress in this area is hampered by uncertainties in the extrapolation of data on hadronic interactions from accelerators to high energies. It is anticipated that future accelerator work at CERN and FNAL will help to clarify some of these issues.
