Abstract

ABSTRACT Twelve members of Alcoholics Anonymous with four, five, six and seven years of continuous sobriety were interviewed about their experiences in recovery and in therapy. An essential theme which emerged was a change over years of sobriety, in their perception of themselves and the world. Participants' experiences in therapy are discussed and recommendations for treatment are made.
