Abstract

A circular defect is a problem we usually come upon in medical practices. Several methods were adopted to solve the problem. However, none of the methods had produced any satisfactory results. Double opposing semicircular flap was designed by Abdulmuttalip Keser, MD et al. at 1998 to close the circular defect. This particular method was applied in six cases at our hospital on various occasions since 1998, and they were very successful. The details, advantage and disadvantage of the method were discussed in length. We concluded that, the double opposing semicircular flap is very recommendable in closing a circular defect.
