Abstract

The Dohjang couldn’t inherit or sell the Dohjang right at time Royal Household lands are formed in the 17th century. By the way, each Royal Household as the economic base of Royal Household is reduced has managed Dohjang by getting the money to secure the finance. The Dohjang acquired the authority capable of inheriting and selling the Dohjang right through this. Even though the Dohjang right was not the land ownership, it has been formed in the Royal Household lands as one of real right established through selling between the Royal Household and the Dohjang. The NapgaDohjang bore the management expenses of farmland and became to reinforce the authority of Dohjang as the principal agent of farmland management. The NapgaDohjang formed the multilayered structure called ‘Royal Household- Dohjang-cultivator’ in the Royal Household lands through the reinforcement of authority, was the existence like the private landowner invading the Royal Household lands and controlling the cultivator as the actual owner of farmland. Persons being engaged in the task of Royal Family has been realized as the center in the early days that The NapgaDohjang occurred. but The NapgaDohjang in the period of Great Han Empire was the economic base of persons who aimed to promote the increase of social status and to accumulate the wealth as the low-ranking government officials.
