Abstract

We investigate the effects of the coupling of charge-transfer excitons on the excitonic population dynamics of a charge-transfer exciton system coupled by either CW or pulsed chirped electromagnetic fields. Owing to the strong coupling, at exact resonance with the CW fields, there is a critical value of the Rabi frequency above which the excitonic Rabi oscillations with complete population transfer to the excited state could be achieved. For the pulsed chirped field, if the coupling is considered, it has also been shown that the excitonic population transfer can be obtained in a wide range of both negative and positive values of chirped rate.
