Abstract

Following the investigation of the effect of entrepreneurial orientation in five dimensions: innovativeness, risk taking, aggressiveness competition, and proactiveness, autonomy, and Innovation capabilities in four dimensions: strategy and management perspective, the organizational structure and processes, organizational culture, financial resources on the performance of the private insurance companies in Iran. Tehran Branch and the Central Office of Tehran and Pasargad entrepreneur private insurance companies have selected as the samples. Standard questionnaires distributed to the managers and experts of the mentioned companies to measure entrepreneurial orientation, the innovation capability and company performance. Obtained data were evaluated and using SPSS and PLS software's. The results suggest that entrepreneurial orientation and innovation capability in the private insurance companies in the moderate levels, an increase in entrepreneurial orientation will lead to increased performance, increase in innovation capability does not have any direct impact on performance, and however by affecting the entrepreneurial orientation, it indirectly increases performance. In addition, autonomy dimension of entrepreneurial orientation and financial dimension of innovation capability are subordinates to other dimensions in their own structures.
