Abstract

The contemporary world order, the foundation of which is the Rule of Law and the recognition of the inalienability of human rights, was not formed overnight. A.N. Savenkov consistently and careful restores the chronology of the formation of this order. The theme of military law and the impact of wars on the development of the contemporary world order runs like a red thread through the text of all three volumes. It is all the more paradoxical that humankind’s awareness of the fundamental importance of human rights occurred largely under the influence of the experience of military conflicts and their subsequent settlement.
