Abstract

This paper describes the revisions that have occurred over the years to the fieldwork component of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists' educational standards. These changes have to a large extent been brought about in an effort to accommodate the need for more fieldwork placements for students. The writers conclude that more studies are needed if revisions to educational standards are to reflect effective educational practices.
