Abstract
The impact of European integration on the Europeanization of public administration in Ukraine is considered. By means of a proposed criterion for the presence of conditionality elements in EU – Ukraine relations the basic tools of the influence is analysed. These tools are bilateral agreements and unilateral EU initiatives that are key milestones of European integration of Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to analyzing the impact of EU conditionality on national administrative system. The public administration is a one of the key systems for achieving EU membership criteria. That is why, successful completion of administrative reform and improving the efficiency of public administration based on approximation to EU standards are very actual and important for Ukraine. It is concluded that the Association Agreement can, in case of adoption and entry into force, radically changes the nature of relations between the EU and Ukraine. On the one hand, it gives Ukraine a clear perspective of EU membership and deepen its integration into European political, economic and administrative space, and the other – it significantly increases the asymmetry in favor of the EU concerning meeting commitments and adaptation to European conditions and requirements.
