Abstract
The article examines the problems of the development of the Eurasian agro-food complex: potential, current state and prospects. The article analyzes the problem of self – sufficiency in food, taking into account mutual trade and the possibility of concentrating the efforts of the EAEU member states on an innovative breakthrough in agriculture in order to increase exports and its share in world trade, an adequately available area of farmland.

Summary
Значимость сельского хозяйства для ЕАЭС определяется не только проблемой самообеспечения продовольствием с учетом взаимного (около 10 млрд USD) агроэкспорта, но и эффективным использованием обширных сельхозугодий, на которых занята значительная доля населения – более 40 млн человек. 3. Структура посевных площадей в ЕАЭС (а) и Беларуси (б) (доля в % в 2020 г.) (выполнен авторами с использованием статистики ЕЭК (www.eurasiancommission.com)). Составлена авторами с использованием статистики ЕЭК (www.eurasiancommission.com) и ФАО (www.fao.org);. Итоговое производство агропродукции по отношению к доле пашни неоднородно: Россия, Армения и Беларусь имеют лучшие показатели, Казахстан в силу неблагоприятных климатических условий – худшие, различен также вклад в экономику в целом 6. Суммарный объем евразийского агропродовольст венного комплекса достигает около 132 млрд USD, что составляет только примерно 2,2% от мирового, что существенно меньше доли Союза в площади мировых сельхозугодий в 15% или в пашне – 10,8%.
