Abstract

This article examines the expanded energy relations in the format of the Turkey-Russia-EU triangle, examines the aspects of energy security. The article analyzes the relations of Russia, as the largest gas exporter, with Turkey and the EU, as the largest importers of Russian gas, from the point of view of trilateral relations. Both Russian, Turkish and EU internal energy markets, prospects and consequences of their liberalization are evaluated. The author believes that gas is a special object of transportation by pipeline, therefore, the transportation contract is subject to special contractual regulation and its conclusion and execution largely depends on the political relations of the partner countries.
