Abstract
The composition of the essential oil obtained from the dried flowering aerial parts of Thymus fallax Fisch. & C.A. Mey. (Labiatae) was analyzed by GC and GC-MS for the first time. 155 components have been identified in the essential oil of T. fallax. The major constituents of the essential oil were carvacrol (30.2%), geraniol (15.4%) and p-cymene (7.7%).
