Abstract

Heating or maintaining process temperatures in oil and gas industry, namely in pipelines, reservoirs and vessels is one of the most widespread methods in different process chains. In this case, there are two main types of process heating: compensation of heat losses in the environment during transport of oil through pipelines and heating for different process purposes (for example, heating of oil or viscous petroleum). Application of induction heating of metal surfaces for these technological operations is mostly more effective than the application of heat with steam or self-regulating heating cable systems.
