Abstract
The equilibrium solutions of magnetized rotating clouds in a static external medium have been obtained. From these solutions, it is shown that there is a critical mass which can be supported by a given magnetic flux and specific angular momentum. For the same magnetic flux, mass, and total angular momentum, two different solutions are obtained with different central densities. The comparison of clouds with fixed magnetic field strength shows that faster rotating clouds have a flatter structure. A technique is presented for using the magnetic flux and specific angular momentum to determine the maximum mass of the rotating magnetized cloud. 25 refs.
