Abstract
This paper describes the Equation Writing External Language (EWEL) of MODULECO, a computer system for macro-economic modeling. This language adds multidimensional variables, sets of mnemonics, conditional expressions and equations, calls to internal and external functions and integrated documentation to the possibilities of other similar languages. Although it is designed for complex or large models, it is easy also to use for simple models.
