Abstract

The Master Plan is an urban policy instrument that aims to guide city planning. This tool encompasses economic, social, political and environmental issues. Within this context, this research seeks to make a brief analysis of the environmental dimension of the Belém Master Plan, specifically the issue of the Neighborhood Impact Study - NIS. In order to achieve the proposed objective, we will use the methodology of bibliographical and documentary research. At the end, some observations will be made on the environmental issue, the Neighborhood Impact Study, within the aforementioned Master Plan, noting the need to improve the institute.
