Abstract

Abstract The Center for Urban Policy Research (CUPR) at Rutgers University, directed by George Sternlieb, stands as a successor to the Rutgers Urban Studies Center which (as with a dozen similar institutions) was midwifed by the Ford Foundation in the early 1960s. It has the distinction of being one of the very few which have survived.
