Abstract

The assumption of economic rationality in location decisions have met with serious difficulties when confronted with the real behaviour of those making decisions. Firstly, the authors refer to the limitations of the economic focus to understand the location of industries. Secondly, they present some results of research carried out on the factors underlying location decisions of entrepreneurs in Spain. Some points related to Regional Policy are also underlined.
