Abstract

AbstractThe relevance, novelty and socio-economic significance of consumer cooperation in ensuring food security of regions and the state is argued by the relevance of the scientifically sound and effective use of the economic potential of consumer societies of the Central Union of Russia. The purpose of this work is to identify the main parameters and vectors of the activities of the consumer cooperation in the field of creating agri-food reserves, to reveal the peculiarities of the work of cooperative organizations in the field of procurement of agricultural products and wild plants, to identify the place and role of regional cooperative societies and unions in the system of food security of the state. The article considers the role and importance of the organizational and economic activities of consumer cooperation in food supply, the place of agricultural entrepreneurs and cooperative organizations in the formation of food resources in the regions, justifies the need to develop consumer cooperation in procurement and marketing activities, stimulate increased agricultural production, increase the efficiency of cooperative organizations, and increase competitiveness.
