Abstract

Potassium has a deactivation effect on Cu-SSZ-13 catalyst for selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3 (NH3-SCR). It was demonstrated that the modification of Cu-SSZ-13 catalysts by Ce could improve its K resistance. The characterization of NH3-TPD and H2-TPR suggested that the introduction of Ce on Cu-SSZ-13 could improve its surface acidity and redox ability. Moreover, the content of Cu2+ and chemisorbed oxygen were markedly restored under the situation that Ce and K elements were coexistent on catalyst surface. The synergetic effect between Ce and Cu might be the major reason for the great K resistance and the excellent SCR performance.
