Abstract
This letter describes the structure and operation of the deregulated electric power system in Norway and Sweden. The letter gives overviews of the power system, the history of deregulation, the spot and futures markets, the transmission point tariff, congestion management, ancillary services, retail wheeling and settlement procedures.
