Abstract

The formula for chemical potential of the BCS system is found at energy-dependent D.O.S. If D.O.S. is the suitably decreasing function in the pairing band then the superconducting state becomes metastable. The detailed chemical potential is obtained if D.O.S. is the linear function of the energy in the pairing band. Comparing our results for the chemical potential in the critical region with the thermodynamic results by van der Marel and Rietveld, the density derivatives ofT c and D.O.S. are found. The thermodynamic functions of our system differ from the usual BCS ones by the terms of the relative exponentially small order, at least, for low and subcritical temperatures.
